Lindsey's Skyward™ Baldcypress (low-branched)
If you are looking for a tough urban tree that can handle just about anything you throw at it, look no further. Skyward Baldcypress is a very narrow upright cultivar that has a ton going for it. The name says it all, with a leader and branching that is reaching toward the sky, this Taxodium stays tight and is the perfect selection for a narrow urban setting. We have been impressed with its consistently green foliage through the entire growing season. Oklahoma nurseryman, Mike Lindsey, selected this beauty and in 20+ years it has reached 25' tall x 6-8' wide. It appears to have non-aggressive root system and to this point has had no surface roots or knees.
