Shady Lane Compton Oak
Shady Lane Compton Oak is a tree built for summer. With its wide round canopy and strong sturdy branching it makes you day dream about hanging a hammock and taking a nap. If planted in an Allee you'll eventually get all the shade you would want in the hottest parts of the year. It has Overcup-type leaves that are larger than most Compton Oaks but far smaller than Overcup Oak. The foliage goes from deep green to a striking yellow in the fall and eventually drops clean.
