Mikinori Parrotia
Parrot Tree is an up and comer, on the short list of species of compact trees which offer near bullet proof durability in street plantings that have limited space. Striking foliage in the summer and fall. The fall color ranges from burgundy, red, to pink and is more reliable in Georgia than sister species, Parrotia persica. Similar to P. persica though the bark of Chinese Ironwood is more exfoliated as it ages, and the branching is a bit more refined. Early evaluation in our nursery shows a little more vigor than P. persica.
