Butterflies Magnolia
This cross of M. acuminata and M. denudata usually forms a small tree with an upright central leader or sometimes a multi-stemmed tree. The yellow butterfly like blooms are worth the hype. Large, bright flowers bloom in the springtime that are lemony in both color and scent. Large dark-green, glossy leaves follow the bloom continuing the visual impact of the Butterflies Magnolia into the summer.
