Pale Pink Crapemyrtle
Biloxi stands alone as the best pink flowered crape myrtle for street planting. A natural vase like habit is created with plenty of vigor to get the tree up and over the traffic below. The multi colored bark has more of the reddish chestnut tones than do many hybrids. The summer flowers, admittedly, are tinted smack dab in the middle of the lavender-pink spectrum common to fauriei hybrids. But to the casual observer they are decidedly pink. When summer winds down Biloxi has more to give. The autumn leaves turn a nice orange-red, a splendid sight atop the colorful bark. This flowering tree is usefully shaped, urban tough, and colorfully attractive throughout the year.
