Dark Alexandrina Saucer Magnolia
Our 'Dark Alexandrina' is the dark-flowered Alexandrina with superior dark green, mildew-resistant foliage that remains fresh into September. One of the first trees to flower in the season, it offers a showy display on late winter days (as early as mid-February in zone 7). The large fuzzy flower buds, up to 1 inch long, are a source of fascination to curious passers-by. Pollution tolerant, but roots need ample room and a rich, moist soil.
